G.C.E O/L 2012 Result release on last week,  here we saw top ten performers in the Exammination.

President of Sri Lanka gives prize for top candidates Dasun Oshada Jayasinghe of Royal College, Colombo and Madushani Kulathunga of Sangamiththa Balika Vidyalaya,Galle topped the island rankings in the GCE O/L examinations held in 2012.

Law College entrance cut off reduce to 66 marks

The Council of Legal Education (CLE) has decided to reduce the Law College entrance cut off marks for 2013 to 66 marks from the earlier cut of mark of 69 while the total intake for the year has been increased to 551.

Meanwhile, candidates for Law College will sit for two examinations namely the language paper and the general knowledge and intelligence paper starting this year, Principal of the college W.D. Rodrigo said.

It is compulsory to sit for both papers, one which will be in English medium only while the other can be written in Sinhala and Tamil, he said.

However, he added that registration of new student will commence from today (01).

Theory Examination in Western Music - 2012 Grade I - VIII

Department of Examminations, Sri lanka calling application for the Theory Examination in Western Music - 2012 Grade I - VIII & Dipoma

Application forms for the above English medium Examination will be issued by post and to personal callers from  01st January 2013. Forms of  application also can be downloaded from the Department website (www.doenets.lk).

Application form could be obtained by post sending a self - addressed stamped (to the value of  Rs.5.00) envelope of size 9”x4” to the under mentioned address before 24th January 2013.

Pelawatta, Battaramulla.

Name of the examination should be written (Theory Examination in Western Music - 2013) on the top left hand corner of the envelope.
